Bangkok’s Wandee Culinary Technological College (WCC) has launched Australian Vocational Thailand, an academic program as a pathway to earn both a Diploma and Bachelor in Hospitality Management in Australia, aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework, in conjunction with Culinary Solutions Australia.

This collaboration, the first of its kind, has resulted from an introduction between the parties which was facilitated by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in Bangkok.

As a result of the agreement, Thai students will receive a Culinary Solutions Australia Certificate III in Commercial Cookery upon successful completion of training delivered by an Australian certified trainer in Thailand, backed by the Australian curriculum. Graduates can then choose a pathway for further study to earn Culinary Solutions Australia diplomas and degrees to develop their culinary and hospitality management expertise.

Professor Wichuda Na Songkhla, co-founder and President of WCC, initiated the training centre as a means to elevate vocational education in commercial cookery, hospitality and other fields of study in Thailand to world standards. The agreement means that Culinary Solutions Australia is now the preferred training partner for WCC, not only because of their extensive academic programs in vocational education, but also because they have been able to successfully develop professional vocational and higher education programs abroad. A key success factor of this collaboration is having globally recognised and Australian certified trainers.
